Credit: Steven Ferdman/Getty The former X Factor judge took to social media to honor the late star after he was found dead at a hotel in Argentina on Wednesday.Payne had been staying at the Hotel CasaSur in the Palermo neighborhood, when he fell from a third-floor room, leaving him with fatal injuries.The BBC reported that the head of Buenos Aires's SAME emergency medical service, Alberto Crescenti, told local television that Payne had suffered "very serious injuries incompatible with life as a result of his fall" and there was "no possibility of resuscitation."Fans consoled each other outside of the hotel in Argentina where Payne died. "We all let you down. Where was this industry when you needed them? You were just a kid when you entered one of the toughest industries in the world. In time, and when everyone is able to, there will be more to say.
But for now, we will take some time to grieve and process the loss of our brother, who we loved dearly."The memories we shared with him will be treasured forever. For now, our thoughts are with his family, his friends, and the fans who loved him alongside us," the statement continued before signing off: "We will miss him terribly.
