Met Gala fans were left confused after they witnessed a celebrity wrapped up in what seems to be plastic wrapping and transported to the event.
Monday night's star-studded Met Gala event saw some of the world's most famous faces come together to celebrate a night dedicated to the late designer, Karl Lagerfeld.
Hailed as one of the all-time greats, the German fashion mogul left his mark in the industry by collaborating with brands such as Chanel and Fendi before embarking on a journey to create his own eponymous line.
As per The Costume Institute's official description of the glamorous event, the spring 2023 exhibition focused on the designer’s "stylistic vocabulary as expressed in aesthetic themes that appear time and again in his fashions from the 1950s to his final collection in 2019, the show will spotlight [his] unique working methodology."
And we saw just that on the night.
Celebrities such as Kim Kardashian, Dua Lipa, Billie Eilish, Stormzy, and Lil Nas X took to the infamous beige carpet to showcase their best Largerfeld-inspired 'fits.
While they may have impressed at the event, there's one celebrity that caught everyone else's eye prior to the night even starting.
Back at the Carlyle Hotel, the location where celebrities got ready, one anonymous A-Lister went to great lengths to make sure their outfit was kept under "wraps."
Video footage shows four assistants carrying a body wrapped up in white plastic wrapping into a vehicle to be transported to the gala.
As soon as the body was in sight, fans start murmuring, with many trying to figure out who could possibly be under all that protection.
Of course they took to social media to share their thoughts.
"Let me dream that it is @Camila_Cabello," wrote one person.
"Is it Taylor Swift?" speculated another.
"It’s DJ khaled," a third added.
However, there was one celebrity's name that kept cropping up over and over again.
