Anonymous has once again claimed to have breached Russian online security in order to "leak the database of the Ministry of Economic Development" for the nation.
On the morning of Thursday, February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced his "special military operation" against Ukraine, sending his country's forces to invade the nation by land, sea, and air.
Later that day, the cyber collective known as Anonymous announced on Twitter that it was "officially in cyber war against the Russian government."
Following various updates documenting its campaign against Putin's government, Anonymous has now announced another major breach in Russian intelligence.
On Tuesday, March 1, Anonymous tweeted the following: "The #Anonymous collective has leaked the database of the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia. #Ukraine".
In a follow-up tweet, the group shared links to a website for users to access. As of this writing, the links are no longer loading.
This recent move against the Russian government comes after the hacking collective also claimed to have leaked "the database of the Russian Ministry of Defence website".
Over the weekend, Anonymous also shared a chilling video message aimed at Putin, telling the Russian leader: "This is not a war that you can win, regardless of how powerful you think you are."
